Personal Demons

Hello.

So here is my first review. I have recently read Personal Demons by Lisa Desrochers, and I really liked it. I think that it was a good read.

Summary: There is a girl named Frannie Cavanaugh who has special gifts that she doesn't know about. Both Heaven and Hell really want to tag her soul so that they can use her to "sway" the opinions and actions of those of the human race. Luc Cain, sent by the Devil wants to tag her soul for Hell, but he finds that for various reasons, he can not. Gabe, the angel sent from Heaven to tag her soul, finds that Frannie won't let him tag her soul. Luc and Gabe soon find that they want more than to tag Frannie's soul. Frannie has a choice to make: she could either burn eternally in the Abyss with Luc, or she could go to Heaven with Gabe. The decision is a lot harder for Frannie to make than it appears. Is it possible that she is in love with them both?

This book moves very fast, and with a lot of emotion, from everyone involved. However, there are a couple parts that are a bit choppy, and could be explained or described better. Also, I would like to get to know Gabe a little better. I know that the reader gets more of a glimpse into the life of Luc because he is a narrator, however, I still think that I want to know more about Gabe, and what he does when he not present in the action of the story.
If I had a choice between Luc and Gabe, I would choose Luc. I mean who doesn't like dark, mysterious, and of course extraordinarily hot and sexy? I mean I definitely do...
The ending is sweet, fitting, and enjoyable. It could be closed a little tighter, I mean it is very open ended at the end, but I suppose that is because there is going to be a sequel. Overall I would give this book a 3.5 star. I loved the story and the plot, but the style of writing isn't as strong as I think that it could be, and sometimes things can be a little unclear. Don't get me wrong though, I would definitely recommend this book to someone who likes a good teenage romance.

Hello to the World

Hello.

I am Miss Reader. I love to read and to write, and I enjoy sharing my ideas and opinions, especially of books I read. I have to warn you though, I am very opinionated. Once I have an idea in my head about what something means, I am very unlikely to change it. Call me stubborn but thats just the way I work.

I hope that you enjoy this blog, and keep coming back to here my opinions and hopefully we even share some of the same interests in books.
